Fakey is right. It has been explained to poll workers, especially in the western part of the state because some people lost everything because of the hurricane and have no identification.

Further proof purple rain is not being 100 percent honest, school employee photo ID is acceptable.

No need to lie puple rain. If you didn't have the ID get the *** another one. I went to the county building and voted with ease. I didn't have a problem showing my DL. I wouldn't get one here and complain if I lost them and couldn't vote early. You have plenty of time to replace them and vote. I agree with showing photo ID to vote.

Don't know where purple rain went to vote, but in Wilkes early voting is NOT being held at any school in Wilkes County,

North Carolina General Statute 20-35
(a2) A person who does any of the following is responsible for an infraction:
(1) Fails to carry a valid license while driving a motor vehicle, in violation of
G.S. 20"‘7(a).
While only an infraction it is required that you carry your driver's license when your driving in N.C.

Perhaps IF 'ol princie woulda go to a designated early polling location (hint - it ain't at its school) AND politely request to follow the appropriate procedures it coulda exercise its Constitutional right AND quit authoring bogus threads like this one.
Don't tell anybody, but one of the three designated locations is in the same building it woulda have to go to to get its free photo ID.

It scares me to think you are a teacher of children. You said you lost your photo ID, "a little while ago" exactly how long was that "little while."?
I knew before I read past the heading that you was a Democrat, could have assumed you was a teacher

I would have assumed a college educated N.C. teacher would be able to easily find out about the ID exception from, fill it out and cast their ballot.

You're making two assumptions, though...
1. That the OP knew about the provisional ballot process
2. That the poll worker (who typically has little to no training) knew about the provisional ballot process

Calling bull5hit on this bogus thread.
The NC voter ID law allows for folks who fail to provide positive ID when they present themselves to vote by casting a provisional ballot, filling out a Photo ID exception form AND following the instructions thereupon to cure their ballot.
AND, as Albert said: "You know you can get a FREE voter ID from N.C. DMV and at the County Board of Elections."
YOU also coulda obtained your FREE ID prior to attempting to vote, therefore your fake outrage is self-inflicted.
