PG13 (view profile) | Posted 9:18 pm, 06/19/2024 | Thank you. I did call them but they kept me in a loop saying that they were experiencing high call volumes and to try back later. Should I go to a lawyer first? Or file a police report? I dunno. Anyone that has been in this situation please offer any advice that you can.
I will keep trying to contact the abuse hotline though.
He's lost his mind. There's no talking to or reasoning with him. He just throws me around the house like a rag doll and screams in my face like a banshee. He attacked his own brother last night. He's lost control. I am scared.

Get out of the home immediately if he's physically abusing you and your children. Take only what you need for a few days. Go to magistrate office and file a restraining order. Do you have a job ? Do you have friends or family you can stay with ? LE will go to the home with you to get more clothes once you're out and away from him. Be prepared To care for you and your children financially, emotionally and physically.

I'm being abused by my husband and he controls all of the money. How can I get out. Our daughter is neurodivergent, so that complicates things.
