I was wrong and feel bad about post anny inaccurate. Yeah. Canadas had ONE. The U S has only had 417. (Four hundred seventeen) since Columbine. Just a little difference ? Google that ? And your wonderful gop is still sold out to the nra to do ONE thing to try to do something about it

Depends on the man that has the machete and if everyone one else is unarmed.

How many people can one man with a machete kill before being stopped? How many people can one man kill with an AR15 before being stopped?

It all goes to intent.

Liberal leftist zh(tZ want to ban guns.

Look at England AND all of the machete attacks there now.

When a miscreant has intent they will find a means.

I'm sure Metal knows what kind of damage a hunting shotgun with buck shot and a lever action 30-30 would do If they can ban ARs then they will start on the rest. Canada : You can't buy a pistol there now.

@tilly
Man,it'd tear a deer in two.
I firmly believe, just IMO. That such weapons are only.
For Military and Law Enforcement applications.
But **** ,wide open southern border.
I'm not surprised if a few T 72 battle tanks. Haven't gassed up in McCallen.

As long as people fall for the NRA's twisted propaganda, we will have this problem. Someone suggests gun CONTROL the NRA twists it into gun confiscation. Someone suggests background checks and it's "an invasion of privacy." The misuse of firearms will never be totally eradicated but it could be reduced considerably by controlling the types of guns available to non-law enforcement and non-military individuals.

The usual arguments against gun control are specious to the point of being insane, "the gun laws that are already in place should be enforced." Most, if not all state's gun laws are so full of holes that a first year law student could dance around 'em. Judges that don't enforce gun laws and are allowed to do so without any form of censure abound. When it comes to responsible gun control, we are a sick nation.
Second amendment, freedom and liberty notwithstanding I'd give up a great deal of my freedom as far as gun ownership is concerned, to bring the victims of mass shootings back and prevent others occurring.
I am a gun owner, and I enjoy target shooting especially turkey shoots but you won't find any M16's, AK47's or AR15's in my armory. I have no need nor any legitimate use for them and neither does any civilian!

I think so too Metal, not very sportsmanlike to use an AR deer hunting any way. I think it is worth a try at least to maybe save a child's life. I know it might not do anything to stop school shootings but we need to try something. Trying to help our youth with their mental problems is another point, along with doing more when someone is on the FBI's radar..... they have dropped the ball many times. Not sure what the answer is, it's complicated and sad.

I'm not anti gun I have a pistol and double barrel shotgun of my own and my husband has a number of rifles, shotguns and pistols. But we don't have any ARs.

It doesn't have to be political (but it is sadly). Just common sense legislation to do something about this senseless slaughter of innocent citizens especially our school children

Gandy,I'm gonna have to agree.
WTF does a hunter need hunting deer.
With the same weapon used in the Iraq war?
none.that will piss some off don't care.
It's about enough of kids being killed.

gandydancer49

Then why does the gop oppose ANY common sense legislation of any kind to do SOMETHING about this ? Say at least expanded background checks ? And why does ANY citizen have any use of a weapon of war designed to kill a lot of people quickly ?

To me nothing matters when. It comes to such absolute horror.
To STOP CHILDREN BEING KILLED.PERIOD.

It's the political based FBI allowing it to happen. Every shooter is on a list. The democrats just want rid of guns and this is how they are doing it.
