I went a few times for concerts

Food was just ok but high

Never saw more than 20 people there and they were all old old

And I didnt like that bartender girl at all

I love Jeb and Jordan though and wish it had done better!

Since it's been brought up. Went to teds kickin chicken the other day and ordered upper with fries. The upper was the size of a small diddle chick. I was still hungry when I left and had to eat more Enron I got home. I hear they are trimming the breast meat on the uppers and making chicken strips. That's the last time I spend 20$ there. So disappointed

Didn't know it was the name of a place. Never heard of it.

This was obviously a mix of several problems...

Huge building... almost 19,000 square feet! You know their electric bill was easily $5,000... probably a lot more.

Building falling apart... unless they did a ton of repairs, I know that the roof was falling in before.

Bad location... people driving by on 421 were on their way to or from Boone, not looking for a bar.

High prices... $32 for two burgers?

No advertising... nobody knew it was there.

Built in crime... the building has been passed around by shell companies for years. It was bought by a shell company in 1996 for $150,000, then sold in 98 for $800,000. Then sold in 2001 for $120,000. Then in October 2011 for $1.2 million... then sold in December 2011 for $420,000. Then sold in 2013 for $590,000, then in 2015 for $644,000, then one last time in 2021... back to $1.2 million. All shell companies that are obviously just moving it around...

Overpriced building... if the owner has a $1.2 million mortgage then the rent has to be at least $8,000 a month, just for him to break even.

Assuming that about 10,000 square feet of the building could be used for customers, at 7 square feet per person it would be packed with 1400 people. $15,000 in rent and utilities, say another $15,000 in payroll... they would have to be completely packed with 1400 customers every single day just to break even.

It was doomed from the beginning.

Well the property itself is Humongous so many options that spot could be.... and prosper wt the right ones at the wheel. small high end shopping center, indoor put put & pub a dave & busters type place or truly multi functional bars / night club / strip club or swinging social club or even a **** bowling alley & Bar can yall imagine our own little sinners center !! I think I may look for some investors. And relax people you'd have to be 21 or older just to pull or should I say slide in hehe

Our sources said they's a portly red headed feller with a big ol honking cowboy hat which enjoys Call's also. Feller ain't got no place to go on commie meeting nights no more also so it as good a place as any to be at but don't tell nobody.

Last July they had an after hours drinking and whatever party for their underage employees. Put plastic down the bank behind the building and let them party until the sun came up. Just ask any waitresses that worked there then.

So Fast Lane won't be able to have their underage employee Sip-N-Slide after operating hours any more? Well, what's done in the dark will come to the light.

Fast Lane closing is no surprise to me. We went one time. Paid $32 for 2 burgers and two soft drinks. They charged $2 extra for the onion rings...and there were 3 of them. Sorry service and way over priced food is a recipe for failure. Another one bites the dust.
