Who was in control of the Senate in 2013 when gas was almost $3.50 a gallon?

Repubicans only have control of the Senate for a month and already jacking prices up :'(

I believe the infamous Gov Jim Hunt is the one that started moving money out of the trust fund, followed by Sleasly, and the Wicked Witch Perdue. Ever wonder why 115 was not widened from the quarry to 421? The money was in the budget, but the Wicked Witch had the money cut and used it elsewhere.

If the effin politicians in Raleigh didn't take money from the Highway Trust Fund and sneak it over to the General Fund, then we could have smooth Tar and Gravel roads.

QT in Gastonia was a $1.94 Monday. Today they were up to $2.19.

So the price hike is coming over the next few days.

1.94 in Ashe but 2.09 in wilkes

Still $1.99 in Newton as of 3 o'clock this afternoon.

Correction Virginia's is only 16.1 cents.

That's right. How does VA. keep their roads smooth as a mole's *** witb a 17.5 % gas tax and South Carolina at 10.5 cents. Let's use their formula. You know any industry that is thinking about relocating to this State would look at the gas tax and know something ain't right.

1.95 Sat this morning $1.99 went to Elkin came back by and 67 Hardware had gone up to 2.04 in 2 hrs. new cheap gas was not going to stay down don't guess the gas companies are making enough a*s holes NC needs to for get about the flowers on the interstates and fix the roads since the high gas tax is suppose to be for them Virgina fixes their roads and their gas tax is a hole lot lower.

You know several years ago I brought that up to my then State House Rep. Cullie Tarleton who is a democrat. He said he would check into it and get back to me. When he called me back a few days later he informed me that the money spent for the road side flowers came from the Federal Highway beatification act and it didn't cost the tax payers of NC any thing.

We know it's based on the average 6 month wholesale gas price witb the currrent tax based on the period ending in Sept. of 2014. So the formula 37.5 = 17.5 + (7% x Y) shows the ave. wholesale price was over $2.86 from April - Sept. of 2014 snd the cap limited it. That's all well and good but the real question is what bloomerleggers came up with the formula.

The new tax rate was based on wholesale prices between April and September.

A 2013 state law capping the state gas tax at 37.5 cents is due to expire June 30, 2015. Without the law, the new tax rate would be a fraction of a penny higher, 37.7 cents. The rate is set by a formula... 17.5 cents plus either 3.5 cents or 7 percent of the average wholesale fuel price, whichever is higher.

look at who is honest and who is not did 500 gas fully loaded trucks deliver to all these stations last night at 52 dollars stock price why no people are you that stupid i hope not boycott them . 24 hours has gone by and oil is back down to 48 a barrel down 5 dollars from yesterday fake out we have so much oil there is no where to put it do they think we are ignorant ...... not !!!!!!
