Colonial Pipeline Media Update #6 (September 2 at 2:38 p.m. EST)

Colonial continues to operate its system from Louisiana east today as crews responding to flooding in Texas made more progress towards a projected Sunday restart of Colonial’s origin locations at Houston and Pasadena, Texas.

Crews are assessing facilities and the pipeline right of way to ensure conditions are safe for a restart of operations from Houston and Pasadena. Work also continues to resume our operations from other Texas injection points, which are expected to occur after Houston/Pasadena.

Currently, only Texas operations are down, and the remainder of the Colonial system continues to operate with available supply.

The projection of a Sunday restart is an estimate, and dependent on a number of considerations, including safe access to locations, passable roads and commercial power, and completion of any needed repairs.

Colonial Pipeline said it expects to be able to return to full service Sunday, restoring a critical fuel pipeline that serves much of the Southeast.
