Just a little funny... the new Sheetz is by far the highest price in the county now! $3.35, while the rest of the county is $3.09...

Bidenflation is much, much more than 17%.

Anti
Inflation adjusted, $2.39 in 2021 is equivalent to $2.71 today. So gas prices are right in line with the inflation

Finally a somewhat true statement by Anti. Yes gas pries are right in line with the inflation. UP 17%

Except Anti using the chart YOU provided average gas price on 12/25/23 was 3.328 not 2.71

A little off there Anti,
On the week he took office in January 2021 gas averaged $2.39 a gallon nationally...

Biden was inaugurated on January 20, 2021.

EIA shows January 18 was $2.464, and January 25 was $2.478. It doesn't show each individual day, but it would be odd for it to have dropped $0.07 in 2 days and then jumped $0.08 in the next 5 days. Not impossible, just odd.

It doesn't really matter, though.

Inflation adjusted, $2.39 in 2021 is equivalent to $2.71 today. So gas prices are right in line with the inflation adjusted pre-COVID prices.

"$2.47 when Biden took office, and gas is $2.59 now... a $0.12 difference."

A little off there Anti,
On the week he took office in January 2021 gas averaged $2.39 a gallon nationally even though he falsely claimed it was over $5

But I'm still glad they are down from record highs 🙂

If they keep failing they might reach the level they were at when Biden took office……

$2.47 when Biden took office, and gas is $2.59 now... a $0.12 difference.

If you buy groceries at Lowes, you'll get $0.10 off of your gas at Speedway.

I find it amazing how much people worry about gas prices, though. Think about it objectively... if gas was a whole $1 higher, that would be, what, maybe $15 a week more?

I know that some people have very fixed incomes, but social security gets an annual COLA that more than offsets the cost of gas. Not that they usually have to drive that much, anyway, so it probably would be more like $15 a month...

If you work 40 hours a week, though, then that extra $15 boils down to a mere $0.37 an hour. If you make $20 an hour, then that's about 1 minute of your salary. And that's if gas is a whole $1 higher!

Then the Rumplickers could no longer complain about gas prices. Their poor little brainlocked heads will explode 🤣
