The prices you are talking about do not include Federal or State Taxes. It is also priced at the refinery. Most of our gasoline here is refined in LA or TX on the Gulf Coast.

That's what I'm saying. The 50-60 cents a gallon markup is for transportation, taxes, and profit. Sometimes it is as little as 50 cents, but seldom more than 60. Along now the spread is way higher than usual so the retailers must be making abnormally high profit.

Why you want this thread/topic deleted "Clean it up"? Are you one of the distributors that are screwing the people of Wilkes?

It was $1.98 and 9/10 in Elkin, Jonesville last evening. I heard to day that oil was trading just a little over $40 a barrel. ****, we are really getting screwed by the State and by the Wilkes by God County distributors. Where is ISIS when they are needed.

According to the wholesale gasoline price on the TV business channels, a fair retail price would be around 1.80 per gallon. I have observed that normally retail prices are 50-60 cents per gallon above wholesale for regular in this area. Recently the spread is much more.
