Gas is going up because vacation times are coming. I say in a week or so gas will be over $2.00 a gal.

The Country Market Deli Shell Station on Hwy 18 went from $1.75 this morning to $2.05 by the afternoon. Thats just insane, a 30 cent increase just like that is wrong. Looking to make a big profit on the gas that was already in there tanks I guess. I also noticed the Run In across from CVS went from $1.79 to $1.95. Is the reason for the increase because of the so called switch to the summer blend ? Or really is it call ripping us all off?

Just think, the effin politicians up in Washington gave the oil companies somewhere around $40 Billion in tax incentives/breaks this past budget go around. And, guess what? Stupid people keep electing these BOUGHT politicians right back into office.

And no matter the results of the big meeting, Big Oil will justify the price gouging by using their semi-annual excuse, "we are switching over to our summer/winter blend."

I read a report from an independent station owner in Virginia explaining the price increase is in anticipation of a big OPEC meeting later this month.

What? The lower the gas price is, the more the people have to spend on other things, which helps the economy overall. Spending a good % of you money on gas/oil only helps the oil companies. Not much goes to anything else.
