nc268......I agree. It will be $3.00 p/g, but no because of whose is the prez. All of it lays at the feet of the no good effin politicians in the Congress/Senate and the dumbarses who keep electing the same POS's back into office over and over. Follow their voting records.

Yesterday gas was 2.01 at Murphy's in West Jefferson and 2.14 at Murphy's in Wilkes.

The economist say as a whole the economy will improve if oil prices will go up enough to put the price at the pump around $2.50. That will hurt people in this area but it would put the oil producing areas back to work. Deep south and southwestern states have been hurting real bad from the low gas prices. They claim that this might make domestic oil profitable again in turn bringing back jobs. Stomping out American oil companies was one of the goals OPEC had when they ramped up output driving down the price per barrel. They drove a lot of their competition out because American oil cost more to get out of the ground.
