Now wait a minute,,Lookinf through old threads "oh it's Obamas fault gas is going up".So is it his fault prices are falling?? I sort of doubt iton either point..178,9 today at Sheetz in Elkin..199.9 closest place to me here in wilkes? Thamk you Wilkes county powerbrokers..Everybody give them a big shout out..They used to cry it was transportation costs of the fuel? Then why is it usully cheaper in Lenoir? That areas gas comes out of the same tanks in Greensboro?

its not oil prices now ...... we are getting screwed by the distributors and the stores you buy it from these people are getting fat in a hurry ... look around .. 15 cents a gallon difference from hwy 18 to 421 so just get you some vaseline and bend over when get gas in this county .. i actually seen people sitting in line to pay 199 for gas when they could drive 5 minutes and get it 15 cents cheaper . if you people got money to give away give to some body that needs it instead of somebody thats been sticking to you like you are a cheap hooker . oh yeah there getting you on the inside too .. 2 dollars for a reeses candy bar how stupid . the candy distributors give them a free display so they will buy more next order . on the other hand you think gas is cheap so 2 bucks for candy doesnt matter again your giving money away .wise up and think and maybe you wont be broke all the time ......

Even if oil rebounds to $80 barrel there is no reason for gas prices to spike over 2.50 a gallon.

Down to $1.72 in West Jefferson. This is going to hurt when gas prices start back up.

$1.76 in West Jefferson and Quality and Speedway. $1.78 at Murphy's and Ingles.
I remember back a few years ago how the gasoline distributors in Ashe explained cheaper gasoline in Wilkes as the trucks pulling the mountain making the pump price more. Funny a little competition and gasoline is 10-15 cents less on top of the mountain than down in Wilkes. Guess the mountain isn't as steep (costly) to pull these days?
