Right about... what?

You were wrong in your implication that this was new.

You were wrong that they had "plans" to remove them.

And you were wrong when you called them "ww II murals."

In fact, everything you said after "The University of Rhode Island" was wrong...

Let me put you out of your misery, Moose...

In the 1950s, World War II veteran and URI student, Dr. Arthur Sherman, was asked to depict campus life through his artwork at the Memorial Union on campus.

https://turnto10.com/news/l...ode-island

The painting has nothing to do with WWII, it simply depicts "campus life" in the 1950s. The only connection to WWII is that the artist was a veteran.

On the actual topic, though... I don't understand the "lack of diversity" complaint. While it IS predominately white... as was the university in the 1950s... I see a black girl and a Sikh man near the "Mayor of Kingston" banner.

But I can't find the actual complaint, just a few articles mentioning that it existed. So was "lack of diversity" the main complaint, or is it that the painting is 70 years old and no longer relevant? Or is that the VP of Student Affairs is the only one that complained, and used "anonymous students" to act like it was a big issue that people cared about?

Or is this an issue of... it was over 3 years ago in Rhode Island, why are we talking about it?

The culprits were probably MAGATS that resent the fact that Nazis got their arses kicked.

So it's not at all a WWII mural just a mural from the 50s depicting "campus life" and the "democrats" that tried to take it down are some unidentified students and the murals were never taken down. Lol classic Fred!

The University of Rhode Island announced its plans to remove several, almost seventy-year old ww II murals from its student union for their lack of diversity.
