Equity doesn't mean that everyone gets paid the same at work no matter what. An example of equity is someone with dyslexia getting extra time on a test or having someone read the test aloud to them. They may know the material they are being tested on, but because of their difficulty reading may do poorly on the test or not have enough time to finish it. This allows them to complete the test, but does not guarantee they will get a good grade on it.
