Most counties list property taxes paid and unpaid for 10 years back. Given chickenschit wilkes was one of the last to make the rod site public it doesn;t surprise me.

Sadly, the legal battle to get someone like JC to have paid his taxes would actually probably cost more than what he owed.

This isn't at all uncommon. The penalty for not paying property tax is pretty small, and rich people can invest that same money and make more than the penalty...
When it's a high enough number, they can always negotiate it down to a fraction of the original, too... if not waived entirely.
A lot of people are of the belief that giving money to the rich is better for the community, and even though that's been proven to be wrong people still believe it. So they honestly believe they're doing us all a favor by waiving rich people's taxes.
Or, just as likely, someone gets a $50,000 pat on the back for forgiving a $225,000 tax debt...
I found this one from 2018, where JC Faw owed $225,000 in taxes but the government just didn't care...

The tax bill that was posted on another site belonged to the ex commissioner that recently voted to build a $22M building. Is there anyone else that has not paid theirs? How does that happen? That should be a requirement that all elected officials should not owe taxes. If they owe, they should be not allowed to vote. Who else is not paying?

Since it has been reported on another site that an ex commissioner has not paid some of his county taxes, I think the taxpayers of this county deserve to know if any other officials owe taxes this year or in the years past and exactly how much does this ex commissioner owe.
Why should county citizens pay their taxes when their elected officials do not? Sure would make it a lot easier to vote for a $22M building if a person had no intentions of ever paying their share of the tax bill.
And for many years a certain business man did not pay his taxes. Why was this not acknowledged by the county? Are all citizens treated the same? I think not. If any regular citizen does not pay their taxes, their property is seized. Why would the county wait for the death of this individual to finally collect past due taxes?
Do you just have your name in the paper a couple of times in a year for not paying, and then the county forgets it? No further published reports are made? Citizens need to see who the individuals are that are not paying I am calling on the county to publish these names and how much they owe and how many years they are behind.
