Burl passed away last year, and the sons are getting close to retirement age. If the grandkids didn't want to take over, it's either close it or sell it.
Good people that did a good job, I'm sorry to see them go!

As a customer for many years, First, I want to thank your Company for the excellent service they provided. Burl and J.T. and those that followed, were professional in ever since of the word. I was told that all of the replacement items installed under warranty would be a matter of company records. Will those be made available to your past customers?

After nearly 70 years in business, Vannoy & Lankford Plumbing Co. is closing.
Effective May 31, 2024 we will discontinue business operations.
We have been blessed to provide plumbing services in Wilkes County through 4 generations of our family. In 1955 Wayne Vannoy and his son-in-law Burl Lankford began a service business with the goal to provide a living for their families while at the same time providing professional, dependable, and friendly service. This model was made stronger when J.T. Vannoy joined them in 1960. Since then, we have seen many changes in the plumbing industry and in Wilkes County. As these conditions have changes, so has our family. The decision to close our business is mainly driven by new opportunities outside the plumbing industry, and as our founders did, we are following the path that we feel is best for our family.
To our loyal customers, we hope this decision doesn't create hardship. We see many other reputable plumbing companies in Wilkes County and feel there are others who can offer comparable service.
As with any successful business we have been fortunate to have good employees and want to take the time to thank them publicly for their hard work. We are grateful to have worked and lived in this wonderful place and we treasure the friendships we have made. We are excited about this new chapter in the life of our family and we thank all who have given us the privilege to reach this place.
