California dims raise gasoline tax to over $2 per gallon starting in 2026!

...the California excise tax on gasoline, which is indexed to the California Consumer Price Index, is scheduled to automatically increase on July 1, 2025, by roughly $0.011 to $0.018 a gallon from $0.599 to $0.619.8

$18.84 Burger King meal for the two of us. Really is this to much or not. We ordered two whoppers and two medium fries[ which were smalls at best] and the cost shocked us into oblivion. It wasn't that good. Crazy prices going on.

Announcement came at 10 PM on Friday night. Enacted by CARB, an unelected bunch of bureaucrats led by Gov Newsom. Sounds like something Kamala would have done to all of us if elected.
