Sw, sex is easy to define because it is biology. Gender is trickier with a decomposed body because it has to do with how the person identified themselves in the world (society). Maybe if they had clothes, etc left behind, they could provide clues

i hate when a body is found and people assign a gender in rhe story without knowing how the deceased identified.

JP says that the body was a female, found in a hole that was a few feet deep. She had been dead for more than a year, but "tattoos were still visible."

She was found on part of the old Tom Bell farm and wasn't near the road...

Wilkes County EMS says the Sheriff's Office has opened an investigation after discovering a body in Roaring River on Rock Creek Church Road.

EMS did not share additional details, but confirmed that the Wilkes County Sheriff's Office is leading the investigation.

WXII has reached out to the sheriff's office for more information.
