Trolling is given facts now?
Weren't you the one the other day praising trolling? Oh maybe it's because your boyfriend is the biggest troll around!
Sorry that your whining owns your life and you get sad when its called out for what it is.

Costco increasing membership fee $5 -$10. 52 million members affected. Do the math.

The inflation we are seeing today was caused by Joe Biden an Joe manchin in their "inflation reduction act". plain an simple.

Worldwide inflation was caused by the pandemic but would have been under control much sooner in the USA had it not been for Trump. His denial of its existence ("Democrat propaganda"), then his minimalizing the effects and failure to efficiently deal with it allowed the effects to be far more devastating than the should have been. Add to that his profligacy ($8.7 trillion loan) is the reason for our present fiscal problems.

As always. If you want to control what you can control with inflation. Adjust your "demand" in the situation.
But many on here would just rather whine about it.

Read the link... inflation was 3.5%.
Which means that people are still shopping more... clearly a reflection of the fact that their wages have also surpassed inflation.

How much of that 5.3% increase came about because of the 25% overall increase in prices. My consumer spending at the grocery store and gas station sure has increased by more than 5.3% When you spend more money for less items your quality of life goes down.

The problem with their statement is that, as I've pointed out, consumer spending is up by 5.3%!
With a strong economy, low end stores like Big Lots are likely struggling because people aren't buying disposable junk as much... they can afford better quality.
Be honest, when's the last time you went to our local Big Lots? I rarely see cars there, but Kohls is packed.

"In 2024, the U.S. economy has continued to face macroeconomic challenges including elevated inflation, which has adversely impacted the buying power of our customers," the filing from Big Lots said.

Oh yeah the 2020 inflation Trump started between January 1 and January 20th that year.

I always get antithesis and Bestill mixed up. I saw an article about the GDP which had a different story than what Anti promotes. I may look it up later.

Not everything, just the things he caused. Like the hyper inflation that began in 2020. And the near record high Debt to GDP Ratio that happened in 2019, then again in 2020.
I notice you ignored my request for a source on your opening post...?
