Being Christianity teaches religion

Does Christian religion give life or not?

Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.

26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works

Did Jesus create Christianity? if Jesus did where and what is the promise and the sacrifice that took AWAY the Promise Jesus made for life before shedding blood in the judgement hall.

Forky, you are nothing short of hilarious! After posting no fewer than fourteen new threads in the last month attacking Christians for not following what Jesus taught, the only example you could come up didn't come from Jesus at all? That has to be the patented "Forkster Doublethink." Either that or your cheese has slid plumb off the cracker.

I've got to give you some credit though, when you are right you are right. And, when you typed "Jesus allows people to eat when they are hungry, even on the Sabbath day" you were right. In fact, Jesus doesn't place any restrictions on anyone based on a day of the week.

But, more to crux of the topic of conversation: the disciples were not being chastised for eating. They were being chastised for "working" on the Sabbath. As you so kindly pointed out in your last post, Exodus 20:10 says the Israelites were not to do "any" work on the Sabbath. Deuteronomy chapter 5 (the other listing of the Ten Commandments) makes the exact same statement to the Israelites in verse 14. It says "Thou Shalt not do ANY <Emphasis Mine> work" (KJV)

Maybe you can tell me where the exception is for "if you are hungry" or "when your ox falls in a well" or whatever in those verses. Is it Forkster Doublethink to quote over and over that folks is to live by ever word that God says, but then to argue that there are exceptions?

It sure seems like the Forksters have preached themselves into a corner full of that, what did you call it? Oh yeah, "Doublethink."

Here are a few that Christian Religion breaks.

2 "I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.

3 "You shall have no other gods before[a] me.

4 "You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. 5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, 6 but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.

7 "You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name.

8 "Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns. 11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

Where is the sin? Jesus allows people to eat when they get hungry even on the Sabbath Day.

And He said unto them, "Have ye never read what David did when he was in need and hungered, he and they that were with him?

26 How he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and ate the showbread which is not lawful to eat except for the priests, and gave it also to those who were with him

Watch ad Forky slithers and hisses!

First, the disciples were not accused of stealing grain. They were accused of working on the Sabbath so Deuteronomy 23:25 does not apply. Is there an exemption in Deuteronomy that allow people to gather grain on the Sabbath?

Second, is it a classic case of Forkster Doublethink that allows you to say that these are simply Moses's Laws one day, but today declare them to be "God's Law?" Do Forksters tote a shovel around and dig a hole to crap in like directed in Deuteronomy 23:13? Or, is that 'en just a good hint? How do Forksters know the difference?

You skipped over the question as to whether you found a "for example" of what commandment of Jesus that Christians violate. I ain't noticed many Christians crapping in a hole. . .no wait, Jesus didn't command that either.

I seem to remember something about Jesus chastising some pharisees for criticizing someone for picking wheat on the sabbath. Preachers like to keep the sabbath and everything else they can lay their hands on

&&&&&&

Jesus chastised the Pharisees because the Disciple didn't break God's Laws.

And it came to pass that He went through the cornfields on the Sabbath day; and His disciples began, as they went, to pluck the ears of corn.

24 And the Pharisees said unto Him, "Behold, why do they do on the Sabbath day that which is not lawful?"

25 And He said unto them, "Have ye never read what David did when he was in need and hungered, he and they that were with him?

26 How he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and ate the showbread which is not lawful to eat except for the priests, and gave it also to those who were with him?"

27 And He said unto them, "The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath.

28 Therefore the Son of Man is Lord also of the Sabbath."

Deuteronomy 23:25
"When thou comest into the standing corn of thy neighbour, then thou mayest pluck the ears with thine hand; but thou shalt not move a sickle unto thy neighbour's standing corn

Throw out one of them "for examples" of a commandment Jesus gave that Christians violate. I've asked for a "for example" before, but so far you don't do nothing but slither and hiss and what not.

Where did Jesus say "Keep the Sabbath?" Oh, that's right. He didn't.

Christianity, in fact, demands one to follow Christ.

Forkism, from what I've read on here, teaches its few adherents to follow some other commandments that didn't come from Christ.

Go figure
&&&&&

Why are don't you follow his teaching instead of traditions that religion has made.

And He said to them, "You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God.

16 "The law and the prophets were until John. Since that time the kingdom of God has been preached, and everyone is pressing into it. 17 And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one [g]tittle of the law to fail.
