Best I can tell, he created a plan to offer $1 billion from the COVID relief fund to independent meat processors but I can't find where it was actually done. I suspect that it was shot down by Congress.

But he helped to create a second program in July 2024 to provide $110 million in grants to independent processors.

That was only 2 months ago, though, so we wouldn't have seen any result yet. And probably wouldn't see a result for a few years.

Beef prices up 4.1% year over year... again

What's your source? From what I'm finding, beef prices decreased -1.82% in 2024...

What have they done about it? Apparently nothing. Why?

What do you propose that they should have done about it?

Farmers are not getting enough per lbs to make raising beef profitable. Not all but most beef producers have chicken farms and have cows on the side. Many small beef producers are going out the costs of equipment, parts vet bills etc are just to high. Basically the price the farmer gets hasn't changed in 20 years. Now since covid beef producers can not buy medicines for their livestock, they have to be bought at a veterinary store with a prescription which costs even more . Eventually beef will only be grown on large farms if grown at all.

The Biden-Harris regime has known about the price gouging going on in the beef packing industry for at least 2 years. Biden even mentioned it in a speech. What have they done about it? Apparently nothing. Why? They don't like cow farts. Climate change is more important to them than your family's budget and well being.
