A badly-burned body was found Tuesday morning in remains of a camper that was destroyed by fire in the Wilbar community, said Wilkes County Sheriff Chris Shew.

Shew said no name or statement on the gender is being released until the body is identified. An autopsy will be conducted at Atrium Health Wake Forest Medical Center in Winston-Salem to assist with identification, he added.
