I was sitting in a vet's office once when a woman and a man came out of one of the exam rooms. The lady was crying and the man wasn't far from it. They had taken a dog they'd owned for a long while to the vet he found a chip showing a different owner and wouldn't let them have the dog back. A woman showed up and claimed the dog while I was still there.
