What went wrong DB?
Austerity policies from people like Raegan happened. Massive cuts to arts programs and music education in public schools went into place in the 80s so all of the sudden the kids who would have grown up to be the horn players or drummers in that jamming soul group or happening jazz quartet didn't learn how to play. Hip hop is an art form that evolved from the constraints of living in a big city with no instruments or musical education available. Not to disparage hip hop, but it's almost as if defunding schools and the arts has an effect on culture and society huh?

I tried listening to a rap song once, I couldn't tell what they were saying...
But I'm pretty sure from the words they used I don't think they were praying.
But I support their free speech, and their methods of expressing, but if they would enunciate their words it sure would be refreshing.
