Yup, they are very aware of the laws surrounding the American system

I am grateful that they can go back and forth with no problem. I have another friend who grew up in Honduras in the 70 and 80s and saw the gangs take over her country. We are lucky that for the most part, we have a safe and peaceful country. The people that have to flee do it as a last resort, I would imagine. No one wants to see their system go all to hello and have to worry about the safety of their kids.

ht,
Sorry the mistake has been corrected.

If your friend who is not a US citizen has the proper Visas and follow the rules, they are here LEGALLY, plain and simple.

Albert, did you mean to say "not here illegally"? Just trying to make sure we are on the same page.

If your friend who is no a US citizen has the proper Visas and follow the rules, they are here illegally, plain and simple.

ht,
"The way y'all were making it sound was like no one could marry anyone who wasn't American without fear for deportation. They are very correct on the paperwork, etc"

No one said anything like that, this is what was said,
No, if you're an illegal alien here illegally, getting married to a citizen doesn't make you legal or shielded from deportation.

If your friend who is no a US citizen has the proper Visas and follow the rules, they are here illegally, plain and simple.

Albert, they don't live here all the time. They go back and forth between here and the partner's home country, so its not like they are wanting to.move here forever.

The way y'all were making it sound was like no one could marry anyone who wasn't American without fear for deportation. They are very correct on the paperwork, etc

los demonRatZ, their media dog enablerZ AND our liberal leftist 5hitZ fail to comprehend that all President Elect Trump has to do is vigorously enforce the laws already on our books to accomplish AND fulfill his campaign promise of deporting those that shoulda not be here in the first place.

IF more legislation is needed, conservatives have control of both houses of congress AND will gladly fill any void in the mandate.

ht,
getting married to a citizen doesn't make you legal or shielded from deportation. If your friend wants to stay they should have tried immigrating legally.
Robbing a bank and giving the money to charity doesn't absolve you of bank robbery.

HT thinks that their love and feelings should make it ok to be an illegal immigrant

simple answer: STAY THERE! DON'T COME HERE!

I don't pretend to be an expert, Fox. I have a dear friend who is married to someone from another country. I'm just trying to figure what the end goal is / why the Trump administration would want them to leave
They met my friend somewhere else, they fell in love, and got married. It is just wild that for some reason, them being in love is wrong and worth the US government getting involved. I don't understand the plot, that's all

Please explain

And maybe we get lucky and the anchor spouses get shipped out too!

Somehow HT's vast amount of time in education did not cover the legal and illegal definitions

ht,
"So if you're married to a citizen, that makes you illegal?"

No, if you're an illegal alien here illegally, getting married to a citizen doesn't make you legal or shielded from deportation.

ht

So if you're married to a citizen, that makes you illegal? I don't follow your logic.

Against illegal immigration. Most voters are.

ht

Posted 5:56 pm, 11/09/2024

That doesn't answer my question. Is it the fact that they are here and working that bothers you? Are you against all immigration completely?

If so, better write Trump and tell him Elon needs to go home :)

No more anchor wife

ht

Why are y'all so invested in that?

What if someone has married a citizen and is in the process of becoming a citizen themselves? What if they have a job and a family? What if they are making a positive contribution to their community?

I don't understand why you feel like it would be better to send people away if they are doing all those things.
