Weird no one mentions the oil industry like they do EVs...

So yes, lester, they do express their "support" by echoing only one side of the energy industry, which just so happens to be pushed by oil industry propaganda.

Anti:

Do you see anyone on GW supporting the "trillions on the oil industry"?

A better plan is we spend no money on the oil industry and no money on the EV charging stations.

It's a constant whine about how much money the government has spent to develop the EV industry. My point is that they spend literal trillions on the oil industry.

It's like being in the ocean, and then getting upset because someone throws a teaspoon of water on you.

In this case, as usual, the whine doesn't even make sense.

It's true that the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law allocated $7.5 billion for states to work with the DOT and Dept. of Energy to build charging stations...

But if the states haven't built them yet... then they haven't gotten the money. So this whine is about nothing. And, of course, the Republican states are the ones refusing to do anything, regardless of what the population wants.

Also... the US has about 180,000 chargers, but it's estimated that we'll need 1.2 million by 2030.

It's still a tiny fraction of the subsidies given to big oil companies...

The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, the massive infrastructure package Biden signed in 2021, earmarks $7.5 billion for EV charging Stations
