Are you or your signficant other a Lowes employee? If so, you can purchase it legit for $10 from microsoft... \ Wow, can we? I spent 2 DVDs burning the elite edition, and I would've just bought it if it was that price. I'll check when I go back to work.

I get the education license, there is no difference except it can not be upgraded to the next version (2010). Take a college class or have a child in high school to qualify. You can also buy it in the college bookstore for $150-200 depending upon the office bundle. You may also find an OEM package of MS Word on eBay.
If I remember correctly, a single pack of office software is $80

Best thing to do go to yard sales look for old computors or in the classifieds make sure they have the disk ,this has worked for me in the pass, but the openoffice is great and is free.

Why not get Open Office, which works better, is easier to use, can do everything the Microsoft programs can do...including opening all the formats that Microsoft's program can create...and is FREE?
