If you didn't change the password on your router when it was installed, the defaults are usually these below

User Name: admin
Password: password

Try that. It could be just that simple.

I just went through this a few weeks ago myself.

Ok I have two computers one is connected to a modem (cable) the other one is going through a router to a wireless connection to the other computer. The other computer messed up and had to be put in the shop. It is now fixed, but I can not get it to go online. I know its not the computer, I have tried unplugging the router and all but doesn't work. It has asked for a password or key to it and I can not remember what that is. Is there anyone out here that can help me?
