I have it dual booting with XP, I followed the steps from lifehacker and it went well. I have to say that it looks good so far. I got it installed this weekend and I am impressed. I have to say the changing back is unreal. So far so good...

I found this article to dual boot with XP and win 7. http://lifehacker.com/51267... I am going to try this this weekend, I have enough room on my HD but not another PC with the specs needed to run it. Might be cool to see it in action. I will keep you updated...

I'm gonna install XP first and use the upgrade option and see if that works. I looked for a solution, but there is not much info on the Net yet

performance rating manager seems to crash a vmware 6.5 session. Other than that, stable so far...
I do wish theyd make it readily visible HOW to change your control panel scheme to match previous versions of windows...

I guess I didn't wait long enough. 30-45 minutes later it began to install. Now I get "windows could not finish configuring the system". I'm tired of it for now. I'll search for a solution to that tomorrow.

Tried it yesterday, but the install kept hanging. I downloaded it again and am burning a new copy now. Maybe I'll be up on it later tonight.

I have just gotten the link to download it today from MS. I will try to install it this weekend if I can. I have been waiting on this for a while, glad someone local has it. Let me know how it goes.

Installed this last night in a vmware session. Took about 20 minutes front first boot to finished desktop, no issues. I did have to edit the vmx file and make the NIC an e1000 before it would properly recognize it and get on the network, but other than that...pretty smooth with no installation issues. I did notice it had an 'upgrade' option, I might install a clean copy of XP, then let it attempt to upgrade it and see if it goes as well.
Anybody else playing with it yet?
