Satan you are a genius. Seriously. I had no idea what the heck you were talking about, but I finally figured everything out and those speakers just blasted my ears.

I do not really know what I did to fix it. I just kept clicking things. They are working again.

make sure they are plugged into the right socket and turned on some have an additional on /off / volume control on them
right click the speaker icon on your taskbar open the volume mixer and make sure you haven't accidently muted them
then right click on playback devices/sound and make sure you have a sound theme selected

Don't know nothing about a sound card, not sure what a mother board is, but, I took the cord of the speaker and pugged it into a little place in the back of my computer, and also another cord to the power supply.

I really should not be allowed to have a computer.

However, since it is setting here, I want it to perform perfectly.

Do speakers just go bad laying there? Of course, I never turn them off either.

Do you have a sound card or is your sound come from your motherboard plugin?
It could be that your sound card is going out. You can put a PCI sound card in and might get it going.

I have two little speakers that I purchased from Walmart hooked to my computer. I am not really interested in all that you guys are, so sound is not important as to quality.

Two days ago my speakers went silent. Now, there is a very faint sound coming from them.

I went into my computer and max all sound that I know about. I checked all cords going and coming.

What is wrong.? All they have ever done in their life is lay on a shelf on my desk.

I want to know what you have to say before I buy more speakers.
