You really need at least 2gigs of ram and a decent cpu to run Vista(P4+).

try reinstalling your os. this way you cut out a lot of background apps..but yeah vista isnt easy on the memory

You need to upgrade to at least 1.5 gig preferably 2 gig RAM for Vista to be remotely successful.

I have Vista and i have to keep my cookies and internet history deleted weekly! if not it will get solw. i love my Vista!

Just my experience, Vista is a resource hog. I haven't tried to dig into it to see why, I just know that older OSs that are still supported use less resources on the same hardware. I run 2000 and XP and can do everything thing I need to faster, and without having to be asked if I'm sure I want to do this or that. I'll use the older OSs til' I'm forced to use Vista, then they'll have all of the bugs worked out. That's usually how it goes.

Does anyone think Vista is SOOOO slow???? I have removed all the "trial" programs and its still slow
