Video Card, purchasing, choosing

How much video horsepower you need, and the connections you need, deptnd upon your intended use.

If you want a computer mostly for media, like watching movies and TV shows on your monitor, a very inexpensive card will do.

Want to watch content on your TV? Think you might upgrade to a Blu-Ray drive? Then look for a card that has HDMI connections, and supports the copy-protection protocol used with high-def movies. Still pretty inexpensive.

If you're into graphics-intensive, 3D video games, like the latest first-person shooters, then you can drop enough money on MULTIPLE video-cards to buy a nice car!

Easy.

Google it.

Okay, I want a new video card, how do I know what is compatible?
