Go with DSL if you can.. AOL is horrible

Get rid of AOL, I had nothing but problems with them. Always getting droped and they don't have DSL in this ares. So go with a local company and get DSL and it doesn't tie up you phone line so you'll still be able to make and recive all calls. You can also stay connected to them all the time and never have to log off.

Other then getting disconnect AOL is great in my book. I been with AOL over 10 years now and not had no big problems. Just need get a new computer!! Will check my settings!! Thanks!

i hate aol as well i always had problems bieng knocked off.
if at all possible ditch them . you can get dsl or high speed cable for only a few $ more a month if its available in your area.
or try gowilkes virtual dsl for a few $ less

My parents use AOL 9.0 and it doesn't disconnect them for being idle. While I was home for Christmas and using their computer, I accidentally left AOL connected and we didnt notice it until sometime the next day. The phone line had been tied up for 18 hours or so. If AOL is disconnecting you, then it's gotta be a simple setting somewhere within the software. I can't tell you exactly where, because I hate AOL and only use it when I'm visiting my parents. Wish I could be of more help, but that's all the info I have.
