plugged in, not muted, and turned on...guess it is time to buy new ones...lol...plugged in headphones to the speaker jack on computer and sound comes through them just fine...

beats me then unless you have muted them ,( control panel )
not plugged them in (electrical outlet)
or not turned them on ( on speaker its self)

i checked it and plugged them into all three different spots, none of them work...

possibly your speakers are plugged into the wrong socket there are two one for a microphone and one for speakers

I moved my desktop to a new location in my living room and now my speakers will not work...any ideas on what is going on?? if i am doing something and there is a real loud sound i can hear it on my speakers but it is very faint...any ideas??
