Maybe,.. you can open explorer again or go into My Computer and click Tools tab at the top click Map network drive pick a drive letter and the name should look something like \\(computername)\(foldername)

It might be easyier to buy a USB stick and move files with it. I think Walmart has a 4GB for $12 right now. May even be cheaper some where else.

Thanks wilkesman2. I tried looking at My Network Places and the Shared folder is not there. I think I need to Map a Network Drive. Does anyone know how to do this?

can you provide a little more information, Do you have a network switch or hub and/or router, what is the OS you are using on both computers. right click on start and click explore. Do you see an area under computer (or My Computer) called network (or Network something). You might have to close a few folders to see where folders are going.
Try to explore this area and see if the files you are looking for are there. You might also have to change your firewall settings so that the shared files can be seen. Let us know your finding, we might have to try something else.

Just a guess, but you probably need to change the workgroup on the laptop to match that of the network.

I need to access our shared folder from my laptop. Does anyone know how to do this?
