If it's an IDE drive, those adapters are about the price. Go to ebay or newegg and search for sata usb bridge...

Good link except they are like 8.00 buck shipped on ebay
sata 3.5 cases are less than 15 shipped off ebay

I have a 200G hard drive from my old PC, and I'd like to set it up on my laptop as a slave drive. It doesn't have to be permanent or pretty; I really just want to transfer some old files over.

The PC that it was originally in is no longer working.

Any suggestions?
