I downloaded MSN Messenger or whatever it's called and even though I thought I was doing a limited install .... the tentacles crept throughout my computer. Remember how the old AOL would basically take over your system? This was much the same.

To get the last vestages off my system was a major pain.

I would go to the person that is giving you email and ask them how to set outlook to check email. Sound like your outlook is still connection to an old hotmail account.

just a guess its a compatibility issue... try uninstalling hotmail
and then configure outlook as your default email and re-install hotmail

does anyone know how to set this up?everytime i try to send, an error shows up that says hotmail no longer allows whatever... what does hotmail have to do with it?
