Yes, we all want the guy that can't put his correct email address in his classified ad, as well as being unable to produce his own ad artwork to fix your computer. BrotherBill, buy an ad.

I should also have asked if it only hangs on the internet, if this is the problem try running IE with no add ons Start, all programs, accesories, internet explorer(no add ons)

Almost anything/everything can cause your computer to freeze. bad RAM, HD.VIDEO, CPU or program error

But the most common cause is the CPU being to busy (too many programs running)

Try booting into safe mode(tap f8 at start up) and select safemode with networking, use the computer for a while and see if it still hangs if it works OK just stop some programs from running at start up, If this is the problem you should also see an increase is speed after windows loads

Are you familiar with the command msconfig? if so that is a excellent tool for troubleshooting hang ups

What cause my screen to freeze and stop responding? I have spyware and Adware. I run on Windows NP and use Internet Explorer.
