.txt not .text. Sorry, I can't edit the post so had to make this one. Please type log.txt and not log.text as it will not be a valid extension.

When hooked up to the router. What ip address is being associated with the pc? You can find this by going to *If running windows 7* start-type in cmd in the search box and open it up. Type ipconfig /all in the command prompt, and post the information in your next reply. If it will be easier for you to do this, then you may export the result into a text file.

To do this, open the command prompt up. *NOTICE* what your location is at it will be like C:\users, or something along that nature. *THIS* is where it will save the text file unless specified.

Type ipconfig /all > log.text

This will output the result into a text file named log.text. From there you may simply copy and paste the result.

I would recommend scanning you PC for malware. Your internet browse settings may be hijacked.

What anti virus and spyware software are you using ?

Also you may need to rest your internet browsers

In IE click tools> Internet options
Then select the ADVANCED tab
Then click the reset button

Or try this link

You need to due a hard reset. On the back of router there is a tiny pin hole with a button in it. With the router ON. Take a ball point pin and push and hold the button in for 30 seconds

After 10 to 15 seconds all the lights on the router should light up. Keep holding the button just to make sure the router rests...

Also test both of the ethernet cables by bypassing the router. First with one cable then with the other

One of the two cables could be broke and that will cause your problem

Also if you are using wifi and it is working, chances are one of the two cables has gone bad

Good luck
