Most phones have a cord that you can plug up to the computer to transfer files. Or you can get bluetooth for your computer for very little. check ebay.

This is what I do.

1.Download the song you want for your ringtone.

2.Download a freeware program named audacity.

3.Open the file of the song and cut out the parts of the song you don't want.

4.Go to FILE and EXPORT AS AN MP3.

5.You will need to download one other program called lame.enc or something like that. (It will come up in a prompt)

6.ONce it is downloaded you will be asked to locate it once and from then on you shouldn't have to worry about it.

7.Save the exported mp3 on the desktop so it is easy to find then just transfer it to your phone via connection cable or bluetooth

Raising my hand to ask a dumb question- do you have to have internet access on your phone to get these ringtones? The last one I bought was delivered to my phone, but I recently went to a free site and you had to d-load via the internet. I don't have internet access on my phone. Am I out of luck with the freebies?

Download the mp3 and just cut the 30 seconds you want as the ringtone out of the song. Upload it in .mp3 or .wav format, and you are good to go.
