Just got QB Pro 2009 downloaded into laptop, and installed backup from early Nov '12. A lot of work ahead, if unable to save info from fouled up QB Pro 2013, but nothing like losing it all. Will use y'all's input and try y'all's recommendation on getting 2013 cranked up and running.
A little support goes a long way, thanks

I would try a clean install. Go to this page and download the uninstall utility - run, and reinstall. Just note where your Company file (s) are and make a backup copy or move them to your "documents" folder.

I had contacted QB tech support and stayed on the phone with a James Ryan,( guess where he was? Phillipines) for over 2 hours. He could not get it to open no matter what he tried. At the end he could not even get in to my add and remove programs.
He advised for me to get my computer checked and if it is ok to call tech support back. I asked him how long he has been doing his job, he said 3 years.
After hanging up I tried and with no problem accessed the add and remove programs and found Quickbooks.
I am currently tring to find my old QB Pro 2009 to install in my laptop so I can at least put in my back up of QB's that I did back in November, 2012 to continue my business, and go thru the task of bringing my records up to current date.

It states:
You have launched QB Pro2013

Another edition of QB is already running on your system and QB does not support more than one edition from the same product year (e.g.,2005) running at the same time.

If you wish to use QB Pro 2013 at this time you need to close the other edition of QB and relaunch this one.

After dismissing this message the running QB edition will be brought to the foreground.

There is not another QB running. I am afraid I may lose all my memory from the Pro 2009 I had
Thanks

Does it give any kind of error messages?

Upgraded to QB Pro 2013 from QB Pro 2009, starts to open, but quits.
