I just asked my fiance about it because he has one as well and is really good with stuff like that. He said chances are it's the hard-drive that is messed up. I don't know what area you are in but he said if you take it to DVD Outlaw they should be able to fix it for you.

demos will not install, games that ive paid for from playstation store wont install, and disc games that i own which needed to be updated wont install....the past system update i had to download on a thumb drive from my computer and put it on my ps3 because it wouldn't download on the ps3

Is it the whole game or just demos?

having issues installing downloaded or updated games on my ps3
i get an error code everytime
anyone have any ideas?

btw sony tech support is too stupid to fix the problem
