ok i am having the same issue and have done what was mentioned here...when connesting cable to port outlet...the pc does not recognize that port...help? i just wiped the pc clean and reinstalled all software too...

In "computer management" ensure the "print spooler" service is enabled and started.

Completely UNINSTALL any printers you have on your system. Restart . Windows should automatically detect a printer then try to reinstall the drivers. Hope it works

My computer has lost the driver to my printer. When windows starts up it says window can not start printer drivers. I have downloaded new drivers feom the internet and trying to install the drivers from the disc. Nothing I have tried has worked.
