i had the same problem when i dropped mine. but if u call 1800345sony and if ur ps3 is still under warrenty u can get it fixed for free. if u have had it for a year it would be 140$. so if u cant get them to work it out with u the best thing to do is buy a new one. the br players cost alot!! so there not a simple fix. call and see. and if u can send it make sure u say u would like it if they dont give u a scrached up referbished console.
