they have a free online version that does basic photo editing - you dont even have to install anything.

thanks for the suggestions...what I am looking for is something where I can turn the pic b&w but add some color enhancement...is there any website I can do that on? I'm looking at photobucket now

The interface can be tricky.
That's why I suggest the Gimpshop add-on. It makes GIMP's interface very similar to Photoshop.

Actually Photobucket is not bad for editing photos. I use it all the time, especially for removing red eye. I have a program PSP 7, but unfortunately it is not free.
Send a PM to Day_Dreamer as she is an excellent photographer and she could probably tell you a bunch of sites to go to. She does a great job at editing the pics she takes.

Not sure if that is what you are looking for but it has some pretty neat features you can use for free, it also offers more advanced options if you subscribe & pay for the service, but you can use it for an unlimited amount of time for free, I believe there is a short registration process but its really simple.
Or Photobucket.com allows you to edit pictures.
