I appreciate the link to Batteries Plus. I have a Tungsten E, but a search for PD a batteries, Palm.,Tungsten E did not produce a battery recommendation. Palm tech support told me the battery costs about $15, but they must be hard to find.

Which palm pilot is it? Any of the batteries can be replaced, but it might involve a specialty screwdriver and/or a solder iron.
There is a store in W-S, Batteries Plus. Here is a link to their website, with a list of batteries to fit the various Palms.

Find your model, and you can look at the battery to see what is necessary to replace it. If you orderit online, it includes and 'specialty' tools needed to replace it with instructions. If you take it to the store, they'll install it for you there.

The battery in my Palm Pilot does not hold a charge for very long. I have been told that the battery cannot be replaced, and that a new battery costs $15. One of these is wrong. Does anyone know if the battery can be replaced at a tech store, like Best Buy, Circuit City, etc? Do I have to send it off? If I buy a newer model, can I transfer my data to the new one using the Palm Desktop? Suggestions and recommendations will be appreciated.
