there should be a ... deleted ...folder and a ....junk email....folder
ones you delete go to the deleted folder
spam /known & suspected crap goes to the junk email folder
you may have created a email rule putting some email's directly into another folder

I have looked for the deleted messages under deleted items and any other place I could think of. The messages are not found anywhere, It totally zapps them.
Any other ideas?

the deleted e-mails should be in the junk email folder for a few days you can go in and mark as not junk ( moves them back to the in box)
and then right click to add sender to safe senders or your contacts if they are not junk
and it will keep them from being deleted

I am running Microsoft Outlook. I notice after opening outlook and all new mail appears, some of the messages are deleted before I have a chance to read them.
Is is like a spam filter of something is zapping them.
Where could I look to change this setting?
I am running trend micro for virus protection but do not see anything there that is doing this.
Any advice appreciated. HC
