When I click on add snap in it says console root and that is it, no device manager. Type my make and model numbers where, there is nothing there to type in. Thank you.

Hello
First you need to look at device manger
click start button type "MMC" into search bar or run box Click FILE Click ADD SNAP IN Click Device manger Click on the folder
Is the anything listed under sound? if there is a yellow mark or red mark it has a driver issue or is manually disabled
if not
Is your sound card part of the motherboard or a PCI card?
if it is built onto the mother board Post the make model number
If it is a PCI card make sure the card it installed tightly into the PCI slot
good luck

I have a new hard drive and have no volume. When I go to sounds and audio devices properties, it says no audio device. Any advice how I can turn my volume on?
