I have been using the Google Chrome for the last week. I can't believe how much faster it loads pages, it makes IE seem like you are on dial-up.

I've noticed Chrome is great for Google-specific stuff (gmail, youtube, etc.), but I mostly use Firefox.

I use chrome more than anything. I have Firefox/ IE/ Safari/ Chrome. Chrome just seems to work faster and more efficiently than any of the other ones. Firefox is definitely my second choice. I can't stand explorer.. it's typically slower than all the other browsers

Technically, Chrome and FF are wrong in that they don't support the "document.selection" command that I'm using. They do support a different command, but then the question is whether I should rewrite the whole thing to support a browser that accounts for less than 1% of our traffic, or just wait to see if the next release includes what I've already written?

It all just boils down to time, really. I'm working on a new release, anyway, and I might try my hand at rewriting this section for Firefox.

I have Chrome but I prefer Firefox. Neither seem to be capable of using GoWilkes's posting features (e.g., smileys, fonts, colors, etc.). Google's browser is okay.

I've only religiously used 2 browsers. I used Firefox until I kept having problems with it. Then I used Opera, which was great, until after several months when it slowed down my computer and kept crashing. Now I'm back on Firefox with no problems.

Jason, what's the chance of you fixing GW for us that use Google Crome and Foxfire users  to be able to  change the color of fonts or use the Smiley faces? I am to the point of throwing IE out the window, except for the fact that I can at least use Smilies and change my font on GW.  As of this moment, that is the only reason I'm keeping IE....LOL, as I really do like Google Crome for my browser.

Thanks Isle, I downloaded Firefox not too long after I got this new puter, and for some reason, I just don't like it.  I guess it's because I haven't really taken the time to get used to it.  With this Chrome, it's just so simple, especially for us "simple minded puter illiterate" people....LOL.

I did however learn how to Bookmark a page just now....whoooopeeee!!!!  LOL.

Proudnana, If you decide that you don't like Chrome you may want to try FireFox. It usually works great with GoWilkes.

Hummmm, I see one thing that I don't like about this Chrome.  When I post on a thread and start a new paragraph, it doesn't double space.  I'll try again and see if it will double space.
Using this post as an experiment....LOL.  I double spaced from my first paragraph, and it looks as though it's going to work....and now for the final part of this experiment.
Click on Reply and check to see....LOL.  Sorry about this Jason, but the only way I'll know, is by experimenting....LOL.

Now checking to see what happens when I triple space.  Ohhhh shucks, the Smilies don't work with Chrome either....arrrgggg

Publicservice, this computer is only a couple months old and I use Avast, AVG for virus' and Spyware Terminator, Spybot, Windows Defender and also CCleaner.  They are all used on a daily basis, and I'm showing clean as a babies butt....LOL.  I have heard of several people lately complaining about IE7, especially when running Vistas program.
I'm sorry Jason, when I started this thread, I could have sworn I was on Tech Talk.  If you want to move it, that's perfectly ok with me.
Anyone at all using Google Chrome?  I'm trying to find where you add to Bookmarks.  All my favorites from IE7 was imported to Google, but I can't find where to add whenever I find a site that I want to Bookmark.
Thank you to anyone that has imput concerning this Browser.

I've never had any latency or freezing problems with IE which makes me wonder if you may have picked up a trojan or worm virus that is causing yours. IE8 is out in Beta and has some nice features. Hopefully Google will work out for you but usually if there is a virus affecting one browser it will migrate to others.

Have any of you tried the new Google Chrome browser?  I downloaded it this morning and was wanting some feedback.  I'm so sick and tired of having problems with IE7.  It's either slow as a snail, or my pages are freezing up.  So far, in my case, this Google Chrome is running really fast for me.
And no, I don't much care for Firefox either.
