If you are running MSN and have MSN OneCareLive,this program overrides your McAfee firewall and shows that your firewall is not working. However, if you want to check to make sure, Left click START, left click Control Panel,
to check your connections, left the NETWORK CONNECTIONS on the Control Panel, this will tell you what type connections you have, to check if your firewall is working, left click SECURITY, this will bring up a page that shows all the security you have working. If the firewall says "OFF" just click "ON", providing you do have a security program runnint, i.e. McAfee, Norton, etc. Not knowing what type system you are running nor the type Security Program you have, it is difficult to give you anything any more definitive than this. Do you have DSL or cable? You should be able to connect to the internet without doing anything. What is the message your receiving when you try to connect. If you go start, settings, Networking and check your local area connection: make sure that its not disabled, if so you can right click and enable it. Let me know what you find out.

Is this Vist or XP. Do you have a firewall on your router, need more info!

Can someone tell me how to check my connections and firewall? It is saying that my firewall is not hooked to the internet or something like that. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
