Sounds like a driver issue.

Hook up an external mouse, click on START/RUN and type

sfc /scannow there is a space between sfc and the /

follow the prompts and reboot your comp once system file checker has completed it's scan

be sure to have a copy of your install disc as you may get asked to pop it in the drive so that system file checker can locate and replace any corrupted or missing data.

Ok now everytime i turn my laptop on the arrow cursor just floats along the screen all by itself.....sometimes slowly and sometimes it goes reallly fast......i can't control it to use it at all....anyone have any idea what could be wrong or where would be the best place to go get it fixed??
